Private Acts of 1983 Chapter 106

SECTION 1.  In addition to the criteria set out in Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 63-18-106, the massage registration board of Hamilton County may establish such other reasonable procedures and criteria for the issuance of certificates of registration to persons and establishments engaged in massage for compensation in Hamilton County as such board deems necessary for the proper enforcement of Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 63, Chapter 18.

SECTION 2.  This Act shall have no effect unless it is approved by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Hamilton County legislative body by June 30, 1983.  Its approval or nonapproval shall be proclaimed by the presiding officer of such county legislative body and certified by him to the Secretary of State.

SECTION 3.  For the purpose of approving or rejecting the provisions of this Act, it shall be effective upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.  For all other purposes, it shall take effect upon being approved as provided in Section 2.
