Private Acts of 1967 - 68 Chapter 497

SECTION 1.  That the Governing Board of Hamilton County, Tennessee, be, and the same hereby is, authorized to appropriate money to aid and support the program of the Chattanooga Area Council on Alcoholism, Inc., and its Steps to Alcoholic Rehabilitation Halfway House located within said County, for the purpose of furthering the Council's educational program of the problems of the disease of alcoholism in said County, and in furtherance of its program for the rehabilitation of persons in said County suffering from the disease of alcoholism.

SECTION 2.  This Act shall have no effect unless it is approved by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the County Council of Hamilton County before August 1, 1968.  Its approval or non-approval shall be proclaimed by the presiding officer of the County Council and certified by him to the Secretary of State.

SECTION 3.  For the purpose of approving or rejecting the provisions of this Act, as provided in Section 2, it shall be effective upon becoming a law.  For all other purposes, it shall become effective upon being approved as provided in Section 2.
