We have posted a new reference material to our website under Public Safety - Data-Informed Jails: Challenges and Opportunities.
This new Rand report, “Data-Informed Jails: Challenges and Opportunities,” provides interesting perspectives of the needs of jails and specific recommendations for the additional work that needs to be accomplished. It focuses on the need for leadership. The report’s findings may be useful in discussions, internally and externally, to improve data collection, analysis, and use/application of data in daily jail operations. We are sharing this report to help county jail administrators and sheriffs access the information they need to best serve Tennesseans.
