In the wake of Hurricane Helene's devastation on Unicoi, Washington, Carter, Johnson, Greene, Cocke, and surrounding counties, we wanted to share an article from the National Association of Counties (NACo). This article, Counting the Costs of Post-Disaster Reimbursement, describes several major challenges counties may face when submitting disaster claims to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
