On May 4, 2024, John Sutton, CTAS Certified County Finance Officer Program Manager, was awarded a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. John is the ninth CTAS employee to earn an advanced degree since 2021.
John is a certified public accountant (CPA) who joined CTAS in 2019 after working for 34 years with two different CPA firms performing financial and compliance audits and consulting engagements of numerous Tennessee local governments. He has been married to his wife Cynthia for over 30 years. Their oldest daughter Savannah graduated on the same day as John with a bachelor of science in communication from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Their youngest daughter, Sophie, is a sophomore attending Austin Peay State University. John and his wife reside in Knox County.
