WHEREAS, the General Assembly has enacted the Local Option Budgeting Law of 1993, now codified in Tennessee Code Annotated, Sections 5-12-201, et seq.; and,
WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 5-12-201, authorizes counties to adopt and come under the provisions of the Local Option Budgeting Law of 1993 by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the county legislative body; and,
WHEREAS, after studying this optional law, the county legislative body of County has concluded that it is in the best interest of County to follow the procedures delineated in the Local Option Budgeting Law of 1993;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislative Body meeting in session on this the day of , 20 _ , at , Tennessee, that henceforth, __ County shall be governed by the provisions of the Local Option Budget Law of 1993, codified at Tennessee Code Annotated, Sections 5-12-201 et seq., and as it may be amended from time to time.
